My Cake in a Mug

The other day I was pottering around the house after dinner looking for something sweet to eat for dessert (As we all deserve a little treat once in a while) and being too lazy to get a big bowl out to bake something big, I couldn’t find anything to satisfy my sweet craving. I heard of a ‘cake in a mug’, a cake – but made in the microwave. So I had a look at different ones online, but some of them had things in the recipe that I didn’t have in my cupboard.. So after looking at a few recipes and getting the gist of them, I put together my own simple ‘cake in a mug’

You’ll need:

5 Tablespoons all purpose flour

4 1/2 Tablespoons sugar

2 Teaspoons cocoa

1/4 Teaspoon baking soda

1/4 Teaspoon pure vanilla extract

2 Teaspoons vegetable oil

4 1/2 Tablespoons water

Mix all the dry ingredients first then add the wet ingredients separately.

I put it in my microwave for 1 1/2 minutes, but if yours isn’t done by then, just put it back in 30 seconds at a time and make sure you keep checking it. Also, make it your own! Add some chocolate chips, or some Nutella, whatever you want!
